Books have always been more than stories to me—they're someone's dream brought to life. Helping authors transform those dreams into polished, publication-ready books is what I enjoy most about my work.
For the past two years, I've worked as both an editor and formatter, partnering with independent authors to prepare their manuscripts for publication. My editing journey began while working as a personal assistant for an author who needed additional support with her books. Although she was an editor herself, she recognized my passion for the craft and took me under her wing, mentoring me until I was ready to take over. That experience not only taught me the technical side of editing but also showed me the value of collaboration, communication, and earning an author's trust.
Today, I work with a wide variety of fiction genres, including romance, romantic suspense, thrillers, psychological suspense, crime fiction, and horror. While nonfiction isn't my specialty, I genuinely enjoy helping fiction authors strengthen their stories while preserving the unique voice that makes each manuscript their own.
As both an editor and formatter, I believe the smallest details often make the biggest difference. Whether I'm refining dialogue, correcting grammar, ensuring consistency, or creating clean, professional layouts for print and ebook publication, my goal is always the same: to help authors present the best possible version of their work.
One of my favorite parts of this career is meeting new people and watching an author's dream become reality. Publishing a book is a huge milestone, and I'm honored each time an author trusts me to be part of that journey. I strive to create an experience built on honesty, communication, and mutual respect because I believe every author deserves a partner who truly cares about their success.
Outside of publishing, I'm a proud mom of two, the owner of one energetic dog and one curious cat, and recently celebrated becoming a first-time homeowner. When I'm not immersed in manuscripts, you'll usually find me with an iced coffee in hand—currently a Brown Sugar Shaken Oatmilk Espresso is my favorite—while enjoying hobbies like coloring, diamond art, gardening, landscaping, or working on mechanical projects. I love learning new skills, and if I come across something I don't know how to do, I'm the type of person who dives in, researches everything I can, and keeps learning until I've mastered it. That curiosity and determination have shaped both my personal life and my career.
At the end of the day, my goal is simple: to help authors feel supported, confident, and excited about the books they're sharing with the world. Every story matters, and I'm grateful to play a small part in bringing those stories to readers.
